Legislation by State

About

As increased legislation is being implemented globally related to the textiles industry, the current legislative landscape of the United States is relatively unknown. Each state possesses distinct legislative acts and forms of consumer education regarding textiles waste, thus documenting each state’s current work is critical to understanding where the U.S. is as a whole regarding textiles waste management.

Data was collected through communications with state representatives via email and respective state websites. All 50 states in the United States of America were contacted, as well as US territories with United States Environmental Protective Agency based websites.
